Dewatering of industrial and municipal sludge

Discover the most efficient solution for sludge dewatering with the Bucher HPS press - maximum dewatering, minimum costs and robust technology you can rely on!

Industrial sludge dewatering to reduce disposal costs

The dewatering of industrial and municipal sludge plays a crucial role in waste and wastewater management. Our state-of-the-art systems ensure efficient reduction of the water content in sludge and other biomass, resulting in significant weight and cost savings during disposal. For municipal sludge, dewaterability is highly dependent on the composition of the sludge, while for industrial sludge and biomass produced during the processing of raw materials, the goal is to treat highly contaminated wastewater.

With our Bucher presses, we achieve the maximum possible dry residue for every type of sludge, which significantly reduces disposal costs. Our systems are characterised by high separation efficiency, long service life and minimal maintenance requirements. Whether in the food industry, leather processing or municipal sewage treatment plants - our systems deliver optimum results in sludge dewatering.
  • Maximum dewatering performance
  • Reliable and safe operation
  • Proven and extremely robust design
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Significant reduction in disposal costs
  • Intelligent, self-optimising control

Optimized dewatering of sludge in municipal wastewater treatment plants

The Bucher HPS press is a hydraulic filter press for the effective dewatering of municipal and industrial sludge. It offers a high degree of dewatering and reduces disposal costs. With various sizes, it adapts flexibly to different requirements and works with minimal manpower thanks to a self-optimising control system.

The rotating cylinder-piston system presses the liquid through filter socks, while the filtrate is discharged via drainage elements. The maximum degree of dewatering is achieved by cyclically pressing and loosening the filter cake. Depending on the type of sludge, this process takes 70-120 minutes.

The Bucher HPS models offer throughput rates of 100 to 800 kg TR/h and are characterised by their robust technology, low maintenance costs and high efficiency. They are the ideal solution for sustainable sludge dewatering.

HPS 7507 Press for dewatering industrial and municipal sludge
Bucher HPS 7507
The rotating cylinder-piston press with hydraulic drive works by filling the press chamber, cyclically pressing and loosening the filter cake, whereby the filtrate is discharged via flexible drainage elements and after several repetitions of the pressing process, which takes 70-120 minutes depending on the sludge, the filter cake is automatically discharged at the end.
